The Cookie Dough Kid Order on WhatsApp

Terms of sale

Last updated: 14 July 2026

In plain English. You message us on WhatsApp, we confirm what you want and what it costs, you pay, we make it. Because it is fresh food made to order, you cannot change your mind once we have started baking. If something is wrong with your order, tell us and we will put it right.

Who you are buying from

These terms apply to every order placed with The Cookie Dough Kid, operated by [CONFIRM: FULL LEGAL NAME OF THE BUSINESS OWNER], based in Leeds, LS10.

How an order is made

This website is not a shop. Nothing on it can be bought directly, and the prices shown are an indication of our usual prices, not an offer. An order only exists once you have messaged us, we have confirmed we can make it, and we have agreed the price and the date with you. That confirmation from us is the point the contract is formed.

We may decline an order, for example if we are fully booked or cannot meet a request safely.

Prices and payment

Prices are confirmed at the time we accept your order. Payment is taken by [CONFIRM: HOW PAYMENT IS TAKEN]. We may ask for payment in full up front, particularly for large or event orders.

Your right to cancel, and why it is limited

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you would normally have 14 days to change your mind about something bought at a distance. That right does not apply to goods that are made to your specification, or to food which is liable to deteriorate quickly. Everything we make is both.

So, in practice:

None of this affects your legal rights if the food is faulty or not as described.

If something is wrong

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 what we sell you must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, message us as soon as you can, ideally with a photo, and we will sort it out with a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate. Please tell us on the day where you can, since fresh food does not keep.

Allergies

Everything is handmade in a kitchen that handles gluten, milk, eggs, soya, nuts and peanuts, and we cannot guarantee any product is free from any allergen. It is important that you tell us about any allergy or intolerance before you order. Please read our allergen information.

Delivery and collection

We deliver in Leeds and the surrounding area, and offer collection. We will agree the time and place with you when you order. Please be available at the agreed time: this is fresh, chilled food and we cannot leave it on a doorstep for hours.

Complaints and law

Message us first and we will always try to fix things directly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

[NOT LEGAL ADVICE.] This is a plain-English draft written to fit how the business actually works today, which is WhatsApp ordering with no online checkout. It has not been reviewed by a solicitor. If the business starts taking card payments online, shipping nationwide, or selling to businesses, these terms need revisiting.
